By registering for and participating in any WPG tournament, the player hereby acknowledges and agrees to be fully bound by the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms are to be read in conjunction with the official Poker Tournament Directors Association (TDA) Rules, the WPG Tournament Rules, and all rules and regulations of the host venue. In the event of a conflict, the rules of the host venue shall take precedence.
1. ELIGIBILITY
- All participants must be of legal age for gambling in the host jurisdiction.
- A valid government-issued photo ID must be presented at registration for age and identity verification.
- WPG reserves the right to deny entry, revoke participation, or disqualify any player who fails to meet eligibility requirements, without entitlement to a refund.
2. COMPLIANCE WITH VENUE RULES
- All players must comply with the general rules, security policies, and conduct regulations of the host venue, in addition to local gaming laws.
- Should any conflict arise between WPG rules and the venue’s rules, the venue’s rules will govern.
- It is the player’s sole responsibility to be aware of and adhere to all venue policies.
3. CURRENCY, BUY-INS & PAYOUTS
- All published buy-ins, fees, and prize payouts are denominated in the event’s official currency.
- Acceptance of alternative currencies is at the sole discretion of WPG and/or the host venue. Any accepted exchange rates will be posted daily and are subject to change.
- Any currency converter tool on the WPG website is for informational purposes only. Official rates for transactions will be set by WPG and/or the host venue.
- Players are solely responsible for understanding and fulfilling all tax liabilities, reporting requirements, or financial fees imposed by their home country or the host jurisdiction.
4. PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Players must adhere to all WPG rules, venue regulations, and the final rulings of the Tournament Director.
- Participation may require attendance at official events such as award ceremonies, press conferences, or interviews.
- Players must comply with all WPG registration, membership, and result-tracking procedures.
- A staff fee of up to 4% may be deducted from tournament prize pools.
- By participating, players agree that their contact details may be added to the WPG database for operational and promotional communications.
- Players are responsible for their timely registration and for providing accurate personal information
5. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW
- Any dispute arising from tournament play or these Terms will be resolved by the Tournament Director and WPG Management, whose decision is final.
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the host country. Any legal claims must be brought exclusively in the courts of the host jurisdiction.
